Harpley Table Tennis Club
Table tennis sessions are held every Thursday from 5pm to 7pm.
The table tennis club aims are to provide exercise and fun in a sociable setting. That does not mean it is not competitive. We do not stage regular competitions but at some point we would like to set up friendly matches with other local clubs. We currently work on a turn up and pay basis and the current rate is £3 for adults and £2 for juniors.
Attendance has been a bit quiet over the summer period but a number of Thursdays were extremely hot. We are looking to build up numbers again over the next few weeks. If you have been along in the past or you are interested to join in just pop along on Thursdays between 5.00pm till 7pm. We always welcome feedback that would help us develop the club as a resource for the community, so pop in or contact Paul on 07776198344.

We operate with four full sized tables and have recently obtained new bats and a practice robot. We are always looking to upgrade our resources to provide the best facilities we can.
At the current time we rely on a small group of organisers so there are a few times when we are not available to set up for the session. This is the case on 18th September so there will not be a session on this date. Please check the website regularly so as not to be disappointed. If you would like to help with the organisation and development of the club just let us know.

Currently we cannot provide formal coaching but we encourage everyone to try to improve their game. In this context we use the video resources provided by Tom Lodziac on his website. https://www.tabletenniscoach.me.uk This can then be backed up by sessions on our Robot to try to put these techniques into practice.
If you are interested in hiring the hall to play table tennis outside of club sessions just contact Paul and we can arrange to set this up based on normal hall hire rates plus a small set up charge.
